We’re supporting hospitals nationwide, ensuring clean, well-ventilated, and heated spaces that aid patient recovery. We help cut energy use, carbon emissions, and waste costs, drawing on global best practice from over 400 healthcare projects (including Royal London, St Bartholomew’s, Mansfield, Papworth, Derby).
We are currently looking for an Estates Officer (Building Bias) who will contribute to all aspects of service delivery across King’s Mill, Mansfield Community, and Newark Hospitals.
As the Estates Officer (Building Bias), you will:
*Oversee inspection, maintenance and compliance of building elements, including Windows, Fire doors/stopping systems and general building fabric (internal & external).
*Maintain effective management and control of estate assets ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Promote and enforce Health & Safety compliance and quality standards.
*Manage and coordinate subcontractors ensuring work is delivered in accordance with contractual obligations.
*Participate in the Emergency On-Call Rota, responding to urgent operational issues.
*Act as Authorised Person (AP) or Responsible Person (RP) for relevant systems where qualified.
*Work collaboratively with the Estates Team and wider stakeholders and represent the Estates Department and Facilities Directorate.
We are looking for:
*Recognised training/qualification in Buildings and a good understanding of fire door regulations.
*Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use.
*Experience of estates functions within a hospital environment.
*High level of flexibility and cooperation to meet required service standards.
*Knowledge of building and fire regulations, HTMs, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other applicable guidance.
*Good communication, numeracy and keyboard skills.
