Role Overview
The Operations Manager oversees the full day-to-day operations of the dealership, ensuring all departments run efficiently, profitably, and in line with company standards. This role plays a key part in driving performance, improving processes, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee daily operations across sales, service, parts, and administration while ensuring smooth coordination between departments
*Monitor stock levels, vehicle sourcing, and inventory turnover to maintain optimal availability
*Support the sales team in achieving targets and improving conversion rates and profitability
*Manage budgets, control costs, and track financial performance including margins and expenses
*Ensure high standards of customer service and a professional customer experience
*Lead, motivate, and develop staff, including setting targets and conducting performance reviews
*Support recruitment, on boarding, and ongoing staff training
*Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, and company policies
*Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit readiness
*Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers
*Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase productivity and profitability
