Full job descriptionKCR Solutions are delighted to be working with a successful and fast-paced hospitality business based in Newcastle upon Tyne who are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract to cover maternity leave.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role suited to a confident and proactive finance professional who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of the management accounts process, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
THIS IS A FULLY OFFICE BASED POSITION
Key responsibilities will include:
*Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
*Production of detailed Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports
*Full month-end close activities and associated reporting
*Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls
*Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
*Payroll review and related accounting entries
*Overhead and cost analysis, investigating variances and providing commentary
*Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
*Preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Support with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements
