Job Description:
Full job descriptionDriver Hire Southampton is recruiting Class 2 (HGV) Drivers for a fantastic opportunity with a well-established client in the waste sector. This is a great chance to secure long-term, full-time work with training provided and career progression available.
The Role:
*Monday to Friday
*12-week temp to perm opportunity
*Start time: 06:45am (approx. 50 hours per week)
*Delivering, collecting and exchanging skips
*Operating Skip, RoRo and Tipper vehicles
*Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate delivery records via PDA
*Ensuring all deliveries are completed within scheduled time slots
What We’re Looking For:
*Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
*Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
*Newly qualified drivers welcome
*RoRo/Skip experience beneficial (training provided if not)
*Experience using chains is advantageous
*Own transport to commute to work
*A strong understanding of health & safety and tachograph regulations
