Full job description Manager – Real Estate Accounting
Location: London (Hybrid – 4 days office)
Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We are partnering with a leading and highly regarded real estate investment platform seeking an experienced Manager – Real Estate Accounting to take ownership of a sizeable accounting function and lead a high-performing team.
This is a pivotal leadership role suited to an individual with strong technical accounting expertise across real estate structures, combined with proven experience managing and developing teams within a fast-paced investment environment.
The Role You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes across a portfolio of real estate assets and structures, while managing a team of up to 15 professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants
*Overseeing fund and SPV accounting across complex real estate structures
*Reviewing and approving financial statements, management accounts, and investor reporting
*Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close processes
*Acting as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
*Driving process improvements, controls, and operational efficiencies across the function
*Supporting senior leadership with strategic reporting and business insights
The Candidate *ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
*Significant experience within real estate, private equity, or fund accounting environments
*Proven team management experience, ideally overseeing teams of 8–15 individuals
*Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP / IFRS within real estate structures
*Experience working with complex SPVs, joint ventures, and multi-entity structures
*Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence at senior level
*Highly organised with a proactive and solutions-driven approach
