The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support a high volume of ER casework, with a particular focus on our Insurance division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-volume caseload including disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct, absence management, long-term sickness, and PIPs.
- Lead workplace investigations, prepare investigation reports, and attend formal hearings.
- Coach, challenge, and influence managers to build their confidence and capability in handling people issues.
- Provide expert advice on UK employment legislation and ACAS Codes of Practice.
- Identify and proactively manage employee relations risks.
- Support restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers, and consultation exercises.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in an Employee Relations, HR Advisor, or similar specialist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ACAS Codes of Practice.
- Experience managing complex ER cases from inception to conclusion.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
