Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting Secondary School Teaching Assistants to support a range of secondary schools across Preston and the surrounding areas from September.
We have a variety of long-term placements and temp-to-perm opportunities available, supporting students both in and out of the classroom. Roles may include working on a one-to-one basis, supporting small groups, assisting students with additional learning needs, or providing general classroom support across different subjects.

While previous experience in a secondary school is preferred, we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in primary schools, SEND settings, youth work, coaching, residential care, or other roles supporting children and young people.
The Role*Support students with their learning and development across Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and maintain a positive learning environment.
*Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
*Assist students with SEND, SEMH, behavioural or additional learning needs.
*Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence.
Requirements*Experience working with children or young people in an educational or related setting.
*Secondary school experience is desirable but not essential.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
