*Pay Rate: £14.59 per hour PAYE
*Location: Reading, RG2
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (unpaid Lunch)
*Contract Type: 3 Month Contract (Subject to change)
We are seeking a Technical Support Officer to join our Housing Property Services Team. This office-based role is crucial in delivering efficient, high-quality maintenance and repairs services to our council housing stock. You will play a key role in ensuring our tenants and leaseholders receive a reliable and responsive service they can trust.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage work orders and job tickets from start to finish — raising, allocating, and closing jobs using our job management system.
*Communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and colleagues to ensure a seamless and customer-focused service.
*Maintain accurate records and databases, handling all information with confidentiality and care.
*Produce and proofread documents, reports, and meeting minutes to a high standard.
*Support the collection and analysis of performance data and customer satisfaction feedback.
*Assist in coordinating maintenance activities and supporting operational teams to ensure services run efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a housing or property services environment.
*Strong administrative and organisational skills.
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Proficiency in using job management systems and maintaining accurate records.
*Ability to produce and proofread documents and reports to a high standard.
*Experience in data collection and analysis.
*Basic DBS clearance is required for this role.
