The OpportunityAre you an experienced Operations Manager looking to take the next step in your career within a regulated financial services environment?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing financial planning business seeking an organised, proactive, and commercially minded Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the business.
This is a varied and rewarding position where you’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency, supporting business growth, maintaining regulatory compliance, and working closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinance & Business Operations:*Reconcile business income within the CRM system.
*Assist with the preparation of management and company accounts.
*Process monthly payroll.
*Manage P11D compliance.
*Oversee introducer payments.
*Complete company bank reconciliations.
*Manage and maintain the firm’s technology systems and software.
Compliance & Governance:*Prepare and submit regulatory returns.
*Maintain Appointed Representative compliance.
*Liaise with regulators and external compliance consultants.
*Monitor Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
*Coordinate Chartered status renewals.
*Oversee the firm’s Training & Competence (T&C) framework.
*Manage Professional Indemnity Insurance renewals.
*Monitor file reviews and produce management information (MI).
*Chair Investment and Proposition Committee meetings.
*Conduct regular adviser performance meetings.
Human Resources:*Coordinate recruitment activities.
*Prepare employment contracts and maintain HR documentation.
*Organise annual performance reviews.
*Manage employee engagement and incentive programmes.
Business Operations:*Oversee IT systems, cybersecurity, hardware and software.
*Coordinate board meetings and business planning activities.
*Support marketing initiatives and operational projects.
*Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers.
*Liaise with external accountants where required.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who has:
*A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Operations Manager or Senior Administration role within a regulated financial services business.
*Previous experience managing and developing teams.
*Degree-level education.
*A Level 4 Diploma, PRINCE2 qualification or accounting qualification (desirable).
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using CRM and back-office financial planning systems.
*Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
*Outstanding attention to detail.
*A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong communication skills.
*The ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & BenefitsFollowing successful completion of probation, you’ll receive:
*Salary of £45,000-£55,000, depending on experience.
*Quarterly bonus scheme with annual earning potential of up to £11,000.
