We’re excited to be recruiting for a Production Planner to join our client’s highly collaborative planning team in Broughton, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in a large-scale manufacturing environment supporting the delivery of complex aerospace programmes.
As a Production Scheduler, you will be at the heart of production planning, ensuring that schedules are aligned with operational demand and delivery targets. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of critical manufacturing outputs while supporting strategic decision-making through accurate planning data.
Key Responsibilities
In this Production Scheduler role, you will take ownership of master production scheduling, developing and maintaining mid to long-term plans while also refining short-term build schedules to optimise output. You will calculate capacity and resource requirements, monitor adherence to plans, and support recovery planning where necessary. You’ll also perform scenario analysis and produce KPIs to inform business performance and decision-making. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work alongside operations, logistics, finance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution.
Requirements
Essential:
*Proven experience in Production Scheduling or a similar planning role
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across functions
*Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
*Proficiency with digital tools such as Google Suite or Microsoft Office
*Self-motivated, proactive, and able to hit the ground running
Desirable:
*Background in aerospace or a similar complex manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of Python or data analysis tools
*HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Business, Operations, or a related discipline
Contract Details
*Location: Broughton (onsite)
*Duration: 12 months (likely extension)
*Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible within business hours)
*Rate: £30.76 per hour (Umbrella) / £23.00 per hour PAYE
*Overtime premiums available
