Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client, a leading UK Top 200 commercial law firm, is seeking a talented Banking / Corporate / Real Estate Support Solicitor to join its well-established Knowledge and Legal Support team in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review and update a broad range of banking documentation, including Loan Market Association (LMA) documentation and bespoke facility agreements.
• Develop, maintain and enhance precedent documents, templates and standard forms across the Banking, Corporate and Real Estate teams.
• Provide technical legal support and guidance to fee earners on complex legal and drafting issues.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting banking and finance transactions, producing updates and practical guidance for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of internal training sessions, legal updates and know-how materials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare technical notes on a variety of banking and finance matters.
• Support knowledge management initiatives, ensuring legal resources remain accurate, current and easily accessible.
• Work collaboratively with partners, solicitors and business support teams to promote consistency, efficiency and best practice across the firm.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience gained within a recognised commercial law firm, with a strong background in banking and finance work.
You will demonstrate:
• Solid experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of banking and finance documentation, including Loan Market Association (LMA) documents, facility agreements, security documentation and ancillary finance documents.
• Strong technical legal knowledge and excellent drafting skills.
• The ability to interpret complex legal issues and communicate practical solutions clearly and effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple teams.
