This is a true greenfield opportunity with no existing procurement framework, contract register, supplier management process or governance structure. You will assess the current landscape, identify risks and opportunities, and implement a sustainable operating model.
Client Details

Description
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of creating and embedding procurement best practice across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Conducting a comprehensive review of all existing third-party spend, supplier arrangements and procurement activity.

*Establishing a central contracts register and creating visibility of all existing contractual commitments.
*Developing supplier databases and supplier management processes.
*Creating procurement policies, procedures, templates and toolkit documentation.
*Identifying commercial, contractual and compliance risks across the organisation.
*Implementing contract management and supplier performance frameworks.
*Developing sourcing and tendering processes aligned to organisational needs and regulatory requirements.
*Creating spend analysis and reporting capabilities to support decision-making.
*Building procurement governance, approval routes and delegated authority structures.
*Working closely with stakeholders to improve commercial awareness and procurement maturity.
*Identifying and delivering cost optimisation, value-for-money and efficiency opportunities.
*Supporting the organisation in planning future procurement resource requirements and longer-term operating models.
Profile
We are looking for a highly adaptable procurement professional who thrives in environments where structure needs to be created and embedded.
You will bring:
*Significant experience leading procurement transformation and greenfield procurement set-ups.
*A proven track record of establishing procurement functions, frameworks and governance from inception.
*Strong understanding of contract management, supplier management and procurement best practice.
*Experience creating contract registers, procurement policies, category strategies and governance processes.
*Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organisation.
*A pragmatic and hands-on approach, comfortable operating strategically while delivering operationally.
*Strong commercial acumen and risk management capability.
*Experience within the not-for-profit, public sector, charity or regulated environments.
Job Offer
*A daily rate of £600 per day.
*Based in London, but hybrid, flexible working.
*Interim opportunity for up to 6 months.
*An opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause within the not-for-profit sector.
*A temporary role offering exposure to impactful procurement projects.
