Full job descriptionWork with attorneys on matters from the beginning through to the end of trial, arbitration or investigation, managing the flow of information and ensuring adherence to deadlines and to best practices.

Description
*Manages document production processes - hard copy, electronic, etc.
*Collects material from client, opposing parties, and third parties (hard copies, electronic data, physical evidence)
*Tracks and progresses materials through the document management system or case milestones
*Manages logistics of production of documents - hard copy, images
*Responsible for case management in relation to documents and document management systems
*Substantive legal research
*Analyses documents and materials
*Performs factual research
*Coordinates preparation and filing of briefs and legal documents
*Checks legal cites for proper format, content and standing
*Proofreads documents
*Compiles appendices and exhibits/bundles
*Interacts with external entities such as: clients, government agencies, expert witnesses,
*consultants, other law firms, opposing parties and court personnel
*Manages preparation for witness statements and witness interviews
*Manages preparation of witness and other case related files
*Assists in preparation of witness interview outlines
*Manages trial and hearing preparation and support
*Compiles and tracks trial exhibits
*Prepares pre-trial documents
*Communicates with and coordinates witnesses, consultants, experts
*Assists team members in compiling material for business development, marketing, articles and pitches.
*Manages the departments know how system and SharePoint sites
*Develops best practices in the London office.
Profile
A successful Litigation Paralegal should have:
*Knowledge of filing documents with the High Court and the Civil Procedure Rules essential.
*Ability to use initiative, anticipates needs, act without direction, asks questions. Takes ownership of tasks.
*Ability to organise and prioritise numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
*Willing to take risks, seek challenges, take over difficult or unconventional projects; can take on a project at any stage.
*Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
*Work requires additional hours to perform the essential duties of the position.
*Ability to work effectively and efficiently with co-workers; work as a team to accomplish tasks and produce final work product. Actively seek out opportunities.
*Maintains positive contact with clients, attorneys and staff and observes confidentiality of client matters.
