We are seeking an experienced and organised Bookkeeper to join our team based in Cardiff City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys taking ownership of the finance function in a standalone role.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the company’s financial processes.
Key Responsibilities*Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
*Processing purchase and sales invoices
*Bank reconciliations
*Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Processing payroll (where applicable)
*Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures
*Liaising with external accountants and auditors
*Monitoring cash flow and assisting with financial reporting
*Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience in a bookkeeping role
*The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
*Good communication skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
*Experience using Xero accounting software is highly desirable
*A proactive and reliable approach to work
*A bookkeeping or accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) would be advantageous
