*Location: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days working from home)
*Job Type: Temporary Contract (3 Months)
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
We are seeking a Home Ownership Specialist to provide an excellent, compliant, customer-led service in the management and completion of processes for Home Owners and Leaseholders. This role involves working with both internal and external customers with the objective of delivering a swift and efficient service.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Develop a strong understanding of the responsibilities and structure of the Home Ownership Team within the Housing Association.
*Manage cases efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is received to facilitate decision-making in line with relevant procedures, policies, and statutory or regulatory guidance.
*Act as an advocate for Home Owners, ensuring their needs and expectations are incorporated into strategy and operating models.
*Process all Home Owner and Leasehold related transactions accurately and manage applications requiring permission under the lease within set timescales.
*Handle Lease breaches and take legal action where required.
*Process Right to Buy (RTB) and Right to Acquire (RTA) applications in line with statutory guidance and time frames.
*Deliver responsive service to Home Owners regarding lease enquiries, ensuring compliance with landlord and leaseholder obligations.
*Process Section 20 notices and ensure supporting information is issued to Home Owners by engaging with relevant teams.
*Provide advice and guidance related to major works schemes and ensure statutory consultation is carried out.
*Design and deliver effective, efficient processes that enhance customer experience and trust.
*Utilize technologies and the Microsoft Dynamic platform to deliver an efficient and effective customer-driven service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a fast-paced, target-driven, evolving, and dynamic customer service environment.
*Knowledge and experience of leasehold management, Section 20 consultation, and legislation.
*Strong strategic and customer focus with a clear understanding of the wider issues impacting the Home Ownership market.
*Experience in the housing sector, property management, or similar.
*Minimum of A to C grade in mathematics and English at GCSE level or equivalent.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
*Ability to manage customer expectations and keep customers updated and informed.
