Job Description:
Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a dedicated engineering team responsible for maintaining a large and complex estate.
Location: Dorset
Salary: £24-27 p/h (Umbrella)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Length: 3 Months (Ongoing)
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical building services systems
*Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to a wide range of plant and equipment
*Work on heating, ventilation, plumbing and associated mechanical systems
*Support installation and minor works projects across the estate
*Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant legislation, technical standards and health & safety requirements
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
*Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency maintenance issues when required
*Liaise with contractors, colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service delivery
About You
*HNC in Building Services, City & Guilds or equivalent technical qualification
*Significant experience working within a complex building services or engineering environment
*Strong fault-finding, maintenance and repair skills across a range of mechanical systems
*Knowledge of current building services legislation, standards and best practice
*Full UK driving licence
*Competent Person, Responsible Person or Authorised Person status in a relevant discipline
*Experience working with heating and ventilation systems, water systems, confined spaces, medical gases, LV or HV systems
