Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (with occasional evening and weekend attendance at industry events)

The Role
As Event Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing revenue across our Southern venues by generating new business, converting enquiries into confirmed bookings and developing lasting client relationships.
You’ll manage the entire sales journey from initial enquiry through to handover with operational teams, ensuring every client receives an outstanding experience while helping maximise venue occupancy and revenue.
This role combines business development, account management and relationship building, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both winning new clients and nurturing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
*Generate new business across corporate, agency, charity, association and private event markets.
*Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through networking, prospecting and referrals.
*Attend networking events, exhibitions and client meetings to promote our venues.
*Manage incoming enquiries and guide clients through the booking process.
*Prepare proposals, quotations and contracts tailored to client requirements.
*Negotiate commercial terms and maximise booking conversions.
*Deliver venue presentations and client show rounds.
*Build strong relationships that encourage repeat business.
*Work closely with venue and operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
*Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and activity reports.
*Identify opportunities to upsell services and maximise revenue.
About You
*You’ll already have experience within event sales, venue sales, hospitality sales or business development and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Essential
*Proven experience in event, venue or hospitality sales.
*Demonstrable success in achieving sales targets.
*Experience managing the full sales cycle from enquiry to confirmed booking.
*Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
*Strong commercial awareness.
*Experience using CRM systems.
*Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
*Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South.
Desirable
*Experience within conference, catering or venue management.
*Existing contacts within the events or hospitality industry.
*Knowledge of corporate, agency and association event markets.
*Experience working across multiple venues.
