Hays Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Steel Fixer to work on a unique civil engineering project involving the construction of a new boating pond. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operative to join a busy site for approximately 3 weeks of work, with the potential for further opportunities upon completion.
Your new role
*Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and specifications
*Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement bars and mesh
*Tying rebar cages and securing reinforcement to required standards
*Assisting with preparation for concrete pours
*Ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification
*Working alongside groundworkers, shuttering carpenters, and site management
*Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What you’ll need to succeed
*Previous experience working as a Steel Fixer
*Valid CSCS Card (essential)
*Ability to read reinforcement drawings
*Own tools and PPE preferred
