Full job descriptionWe are delighted to be partnering with a well-established values-led organisation in South Wales to recruit an experienced Finance & Administration Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys variety and wants to make a real difference. Working closely with the CEO and COO, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation, providing both financial oversight and operational support within a friendly, close-knit team.
The Role
As the operational backbone of the organisation, you’ll take ownership of finance, office administration, payroll and business support functions across multiple sites. You’ll ensure financial processes run efficiently while supporting the wider team with HR administration, IT coordination and office management.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage the Sage accounting system, including purchase and sales ledger, reconciliations and credit control.
*Process monthly payroll, pensions, expenses and timesheets.
*Prepare VAT returns and maintain the fixed asset register
*Produce monthly accounts to trial balance and support the preparation of management accounts and annual audit.
*Manage banking, petty cash and financial reporting.
*Provide administrative support to the CEO and senior leadership team.
*Coordinate HR administration, including recruitment, onboarding, personnel records and DBS checks.
*Oversee office facilities, health & safety records, suppliers and contractors.
*Act as the main point of contact for office administration, visitors and general enquiries.
*Liaise with external IT providers and support staff with basic IT issues.
*Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain accurate organisational records.
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys balancing finance with operational responsibilities and takes pride in keeping everything running smoothly.
You’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience in a bookkeeping, finance or accounting role (AAT qualification desirable).
*Experience managing payroll, pensions and financial reporting.
*Strong Sage and Microsoft Excel skills.
*Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
*Experience in office administration or facilities management.
*A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
*High levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
*Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
*Empathy and confidence working within a values-driven organisation supporting vulnerable people.
