Reed Education are working in partnership with a small, rural primary school in Somerset to recruit an experienced KS2 Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.
This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit village school with just 28 pupils across the whole school, where staff work collaboratively to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for a mixed Key Stage 2 class comprising:
*6 Year 3 pupils
*3 Year 4 pupils
*1 Year 5 pupil
*4 Year 6 pupils
With a total class size of just 14 pupils, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on children’s learning and development whilst teaching across multiple year groups.
This is a full teaching role and will include:
*Full classroom teaching responsibilities
*Lesson planning and preparation
*Marking and assessment
*Differentiation across Years 3–6
*Working closely with support staff and the Headteacher

SEND & Inclusion
The class has a higher-than-average level of SEND needs, including:
*A pupil with an EHCP who is supported by a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant
*A pupil currently attending on a part-time timetable

The successful candidate will be confident adapting learning and supporting a diverse range of needs within the classroom.
Who We’re Looking For
The school is ideally seeking a teacher with several years of classroom experience and would particularly welcome applications from teachers on UPS1 or above.
The successful candidate will:
*Have experience teaching KS2
*Be confident delivering lessons across mixed-age classes
*Demonstrate strong behaviour and classroom management skills
*Be organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities
*Be comfortable taking full responsibility for planning, teaching and assessment
*Thrive in a role where flexibility and initiative are essential
Please note that this role may occasionally require teaching different year-group objectives simultaneously, including the use of multiple teaching screens or boards.

*Hours: 8:30am – 3:15pm

*Working Pattern: Full Time, 5 days per week
