About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Uniformed Services Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners aspiring to careers within the Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Prison Service, Border Force, and other public service sectors.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their knowledge of public services, leadership, teamwork, physical fitness, citizenship, and professional standards while helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Uniformed Services lessons.
*Teach Uniformed Services programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities.
*Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
*Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners.
*Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Support learners in developing their understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and values of the uniformed public services.
*Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.
Requirements
*Relevant degree or qualification in Public Services, Uniformed Services, Criminology, Leadership, Sport, or a related subject.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
*Experience teaching Uniformed Services or Public Services within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments.
*Strong classroom management and communication skills.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
*Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for educating future public service professionals.
*Previous experience within the Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Prison Service, Emergency Services, or another public service organisation is desirable.
