Location: Southend-on-Sea (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Full-time, with 2 days per week working from home
An established and growing property management business is seeking an experienced Service Charge Client Accountant to join its busy finance team based in Southend-on-Sea.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with service charge accounting experience to manage a varied portfolio of residential and commercial properties while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparing annual service charge budgets and ensuring demands are raised accurately and on time.
*Producing year-end service charge reconciliations and liaising with external accountants where required.
*Managing a portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
*Processing utility recharges and tenant account adjustments.
*Preparing and issuing client statements and providing financial information to clients.
*Supporting VAT reporting requirements.
*Managing arrears and debt collection activities.
*Liaising closely with property managers, tenants, leaseholders and clients.
*Attending client and internal meetings as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*Previous service charge accounting experience.
*Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
*Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
*The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*A high level of attention to detail.
