About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Sports Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners pursuing careers within the sport, fitness, and leisure industries.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their knowledge of sports science, coaching, fitness, performance, and the wider sports industry while helping them achieve their academic and professional goals.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Sports lessons.
*Teach Sport-related programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities.
*Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
*Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners.
*Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Support learners in developing their understanding of sports performance, coaching, fitness, anatomy and physiology, and wider industry practices.
*Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.
Requirements
*Relevant degree or qualification in Sport, Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related subject.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
*Experience teaching Sport within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments.
*Strong classroom management and communication skills.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
*Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for sports education.
*Industry experience in coaching, fitness, sports development, or a related field is desirable.
