Description
As an Interim Financial Controller duties will include but are not limited to:
*Lead the organisation’s finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and year-end processes.
*Prepare and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts and cash flow to support effective financial planning and decision-making.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations, funding requirements and audit standards, acting as the key contact for external and internal auditors.
*Produce accurate financial reports, management information and statutory returns, providing clear insight to senior stakeholders.
*Oversee procurement, grant funding and financial controls, ensuring value for money and robust governance across all financial activities.
*Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, performance management and support for continuous improvement.
*Maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including banking, insurance, software and service providers, while ensuring efficient day-to-day financial operations.
Profile
A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:
*Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
*Worked in an all-round senior Finance role previously and be confident with financial and management accounting
*Experience with financial compliance and audit procedures.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent leadership abilities to manage and support a finance team.
*Proficiency in financial software and tools.
Job Offer
*Salary equivalent of between £66,000- £68,000 on a daily rate basis
*6 month interim opportunity with opportunity for a longer term role
*Hybrid working
