Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will play a key part in supporting financial performance, delivering high-quality management information and partnering with operational teams across the business. The successful candidate will be a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who can quickly establish credibility and provide valuable insight during the contract period.
Key Responsibilities
*Produce monthly management accounts, reporting packs and performance analysis.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting processes.
*Business partner with operational managers to provide financial insight and challenge.
*Manage and review Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, forecasts and contract margins.
*Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities and performance drivers.
*Support internal controls, process improvements and finance-led projects.
*Assist with compliance activities and wider month-end finance processes.
*Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the Finance Director and wider finance team.
About YouYou will be an experienced Management Accountant or commercial finance professional with the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.
You will ideally have:
*Previous Management Accounting experience
*Strong knowledge of reporting, budgeting and forecasting
*Strong Excel skills
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
*A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvements
