A well-established regional building contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a temporary basis. The company has an excellent reputation for delivering quality construction projects across the North West and is looking for a driven individual to oversee the successful delivery of a key education-sector development.
Your new role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a school extension project in Blackpool.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing all on-site operations throughout the construction programme
* Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
* Ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
* Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and safeguarding on site
* Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to project management teams
* Managing quality inspections and ensuring compliance with specifications
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and school representatives
* Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
What you’ll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
* Previous experience delivering education-sector or public-sector projects is advantageous
* Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and site management processes
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage projects effectively within a live operational environment
