About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Health & Social Care Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is a temporary opportunity offering flexibility and the chance to make a real impact on learners studying Health & Social Care across a variety of programmes and levels.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their knowledge of health and social care practices, legislation, and professional standards while helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons.
*Teach Health & Social Care programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities.
*Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
*Provide constructive feedback and academic support to learners.
*Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Support learners in developing an understanding of current health and social care practices, safeguarding, and person-centred care.
*Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.
Requirements
*Relevant degree or qualification in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, or a related subject.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
*Experience teaching Health & Social Care within Further Education, Higher Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments.
*Strong classroom management and communication skills.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
*Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Health & Social Care education.
*Industry experience within a health or social care setting is desirable.
