*Location: Bury Council, Bolton, BL2
*Job Type: Full-time, Contract (3 months)
*Pay Rate: £23.00 - £25.00 per hour (PAYE)
Bury Council are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Plasterer to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role requires a professional who can perform a variety of plastering and tiling tasks, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety in occupied properties and council buildings.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Carry out plastering tasks including patch repairs, skimming, and finishing works.
*Perform general multi-trade tasks as required.
*Work within occupied properties, maintaining high standards and efficiency.
*Ensure all jobs are completed safely and meet operational standards.
*Use tablets to order materials and complete work orders.
*Engage in multi-skilled repairs as per the agreement, including responsive and planned repairs, empty homes reinstatement, and capital investment projects.
*Operate and maintain all issued plant and equipment safely and according to guidelines.
*Manage waste and recycling materials appropriately.
*Conduct diagnostic assessments of tenant-reported repairs and communicate effectively with planners.
*Adhere to Bury Council’s Health and Safety Policies and ensure compliance with risk assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in plastering and multi-skilled works.
*Good customer service skills.
*Own tools and transport preferred.
*CSCS card.
*Ability to use IT systems effectively (e.g., PDAs or iPads).
*Full UK Driving Licence.
*Commitment to safe work practices and ability to follow safety guidelines.
