About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Bricklaying Lecturers to join a range of well-established Further Education providers. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on learners pursuing careers within the construction industry.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students in developing their practical bricklaying skills, technical knowledge, and understanding of industry standards while helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Bricklaying lessons.
*Teach Bricklaying programmes to learners across a range of levels and abilities.
*Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
*Provide constructive feedback and practical support to learners.
*Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Support learners in developing practical bricklaying techniques and industry-relevant knowledge.
*Ensure all workshop and site-based activities are delivered in accordance with health and safety regulations.
*Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.
Requirements
*Relevant qualification in Bricklaying, Construction, or a related trade discipline.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent).
*Experience teaching Bricklaying within Further Education, Secondary Education, Higher Education, or Adult Learning environments.
*Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
*Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for construction education.
*Recent industry experience as a Bricklayer or within the wider construction sector is desirable.
