We are currently recruiting for one of my favourite clients who are looking for a Transport Executive focusing on Rail. This role is essential for ensuring robust processes are in place for all rail-related tasks, providing strong support to the team in confirming and coordinating all rail arrangements. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that all onward ground arrangements align accurately with rail schedules, delivering a seamless and high-quality experience for all potential and existing customers.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Confirm arrangements for all rail journeys within dedicated areas of responsibility, ensuring strict deadlines are met and the team is fully supported.
*Respond swiftly to availability issues, identifying suitable alternative arrangements while keeping all stakeholders informed.
*Proactively manage travel disruptions to ensure customers reach their intended destinations while maintaining a high level of customer experience.
*Establish and maintain direct relationships with suppliers, with full training and ongoing support provided.
*Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure all ground arrangements, such as transfers and regional connections, are fully aligned with rail timings.
*Communicate effectively with suppliers, tour managers, and internal departments to ensure all rail and ground arrangements deliver the highest standard of service.
*Respond to customer requests to amend their holiday within strict timescales while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
*Carry out any other duties reasonably expected of the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working in a fast-paced administrative, operations, customer service, ideally within a travel environment.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
*Confident problem-solver with good decision-making skills.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
*A proactive team player with a flexible approach.
*Interest in travel and good geographical knowledge.
*GDS experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided.
