The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on work set by teaching staff. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain excellent behaviour standards, and contribute to a positive learning environment across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities
*Supervise classes across a range of subjects.
*Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
*Maintain a calm, productive, and purposeful learning environment.
*Manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies and expectations.
*Support students to remain on task and achieve lesson objectives.
*Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
The Ideal Candidate
*Experience working with young people in schools, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or a similar setting.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Confident leading groups of students independently.
*Positive, resilient, and adaptable approach.
