Full job descriptionAre you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a specialist educational setting?
We are currently seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a welcoming and supportive school in Lowestoft from September. This is a full-time, temporary position working Monday to Friday, providing support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
The RoleAs a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Responsibilities will include:
*Delivering planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes.
*Covering lessons in the absence of teaching staff when required.
*Supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their educational and personal goals.
*Working closely with teachers and the wider support team to create a positive learning environment.
*Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
*Helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
*Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has equivalent experience.
*Has experience working within a school environment.
*Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Is confident leading groups of pupils independently.
*Has a patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
*Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people to succeed.
