TA2 Teaching Assistant Required
We are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic TA2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nelson from September 2026.
This is a part-time, morning-only position working within a Year 2 class, supporting pupils to reach their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role
As a TA2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support teaching and learning within a Year 2 classroom.
*Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
*Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy and classroom activities.
*Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
*Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
*Help pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should:
*Hold a TA2 qualification or have relevant classroom experience.
*Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.
*Be confident supporting Key Stage 1 pupils.
*Have a positive, patient and proactive approach.
*Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
