We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist for a well-established client in the Swindon area.
Start Date: ASAP – Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 days at home (after probation)
Duration: Permanent Full-time position
Location: Swindon
Duties will include:
*Accurately process all payrolls from start to finish, ensuring compliance with internal and client deadlines.
*Administer payments for Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Statutory Shared Parental leave, Statutory Adoption Pay and any other Statutory policies & processes where required.
*Ensure payroll is completed, signed off, and submitted in time to meet BACS salary payment deadlines.
*Maintain concise and accurate records, including payroll checklists, employee tasks, and client details.
*Liaise with HMRC and other third-party providers when necessary.
*A sound understanding of pension and automatic enrolment.
*Handle client queries professionally via phone and written communication.
*Ensure all communications are courteous, timely, and informative.
*Stay up to date with payroll and pension legislation and compliance requirements
*Follow GDPR guidelines and ensure all manually created documents are password protected.
*Ensure all documentation and processing notes are accurately maintained.
*Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the payroll and pension functions.
*Support other department-related tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years previous background experience in PAYE as well as other payroll processes including RTI, auto enrolment and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. You will be a clear and confident communicator at all levels and be driven by success, exceeding deadlines and enjoy a fast-paced working environment. A willingness to further learning through formal training that is provided.
