*Location: A6 Corridor, Lancashire
*Start Date: 1st September
*Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
*Contract: Full Academic Year Cover (Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
*Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
The Primary School is seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support within the EYFS setting from September. This role involves supporting a non-verbal pupil who requires additional assistance throughout the school day, including personal care responsibilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within the EYFS classroom.
*Support the child’s communication, learning, and social development.
*Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene needs.
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
*Encourage participation in classroom activities and routines.
*Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
*Record observations and feedback on the pupil’s progress where required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting.
*A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
*Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*A willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities.
*Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
