Full job descriptionReed Accountancy are delighted to be partnering with an Oxfordshire client who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client’s team. This position involves handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, as well as managing company expenses and credit cards. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple currencies and payment cycles.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Accounts Payable (75%)
*Process approximately 275 invoices per month.
*Complete full data entry for all transactions.
*Reconcile 20-30 supplier statements monthly.
*Conduct twice-monthly payment runs.
*Manage expenses for less than 20 transactions.
*Handle financial management for 9 company credit cards.

*Accounts Receivable (25%)
*Issue around 100 invoices per month; this process is largely automated and triggered by item shipment.
*Initially, credit control responsibilities will be minimal, focusing on managing accounts with poor payment histories.

*Banking
*Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and manage a bi-weekly payment cycle.
*Handle transactions in multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD) using an automated system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
*Strong data entry skills.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
*Experience with multi-currency transactions is highly desirable.
*Excellent organizational and communication skills.
*Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
