An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Operative to join a well-established engineering and technology business supporting customers across defence, government and commercial sectors.
This is a varied and hands-on role for a warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of stock control, logistics operations and warehouse processes.
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring materials, equipment and products are received, stored and dispatched efficiently, accurately and safely.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing goods-in and goods-out activities.
*Processing delivery documentation, dispatch notes, packing lists and shipping paperwork.
*Maintaining accurate stock and inventory records.
*Updating warranty and inventory databases.
*Coordinating the packing and dispatch of goods, including airfreight shipments.
*Handling hazardous goods shipments, including lithium batteries, in line with regulations.
*Supporting warehouse operations and supervising activities when required.
*Operating warehouse equipment, including counterbalance forklifts and scissor lifts.
*Assisting with inventory management across multiple business locations.
*Supporting health and safety compliance throughout the warehouse environment.
*Providing general facilities support, including minor maintenance activities and building support tasks.
About You
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
*A minimum of 5 years’ warehouse experience.
*A valid forklift truck licence/certificate.
*Experience within warehouse, stores, logistics or inventory environments.
*Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
*Experience dealing with dispatch, shipping and logistics documentation.
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
*The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication and organisational skills.
*A proactive and team-focused approach.
*The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.
