Description
*Managing and developing a finance team of six
*Reviewing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
*Overseeing month-end processes and ensuring strong financial controls
*Managing payroll, VAT returns, PAYE and statutory reporting
*Authorising payments and monitoring cash flow
*Leading the annual audit and liaising with external auditors
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
*Monitoring stock reconciliations and debt reviews
*Deputising for the CFO when required and supporting wider finance projects
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
*A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
*Previous experience managing a finance team
*Strong management accounting and financial control experience
*Knowledge of payroll, VAT and statutory reporting
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
