*£32,448 per year (equivalent to £16.00 per hour)
*Overtime paid at time-and-a-half: £24.00 per hour
*Permanent Position, located in the Cambourne area
*39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
*07:30 start with an early finish every Friday (12:00 midday)
*Rural / out-of-town location - own transport required
*Engineering stores / manufacturing environment - forklift licence advantageous


The Role
We’re recruiting an Engineering Stores Assistant to support a busy engineering stores function within a manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring parts and materials are received, stored, controlled and issued accurately to support production.


Key Responsibilities
*Receiving goods, checking paperwork, booking items in and putting stock away
*Picking and issuing parts/materials to production and engineering teams
*Stock control: location management, stock checks and cycle counts
*Maintaining accurate records using stock systems/paperwork
*General stores/warehouse housekeeping and safe manual handling
*Forklift operation (where trained/licenced)


What We’re Looking For
*Proven stores and material handling experience
*Background in a manufacturing / engineering stores / warehouse environment
*Forklift certificate/licence is an advantage, but training can be arranged
*Strong attention to detail, reliability, and basic IT skills
*Own transport essential due to rural location


Working Hours (39 hours/week)
*Monday: 07:30 - 16:00
*Tuesday: 07:30 - 16:30
*Wednesday: 07:30 - 17:00
*Thursday: 07:30 - 17:00
*Friday: 07:30 - 12:00
