Full job descriptionWe are supporting a leading independent provider of project engineering based in Redhill who are looking to add a Security Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Developing information security plans and policies
*Implementing protections and solutions to ensure and enforce the information security plans and policies
*Centre of excellence for network and device security
*Designing, building, testing, commission and troubleshoot security solutions (IDS/IPM/SIEM)
*Writing and maintaining configuration/reconfiguration documentation, schematics, support guides and other documentation as required.
The successful candidate will have:
*Minimum of 5 years multi network exposure including hands on experience of designing and managing secure networks including:
*Cisco Firewalls, Routers & Switches
*Compliance Standards (ISO27001 and ITIL)
*Security tools sets (SIEM, IDS/IPS)
*Pen testing tools
*Juniper platforms
*Must hold, or have the ability to easily achieve SC Security Clearance
*Excellent organisation with pro-active and can-do attitude
*Excellent interpersonal skills with an eye for detail
Desirable:
*Telecommunications background ideally with knowledge of satcom and/or maritime communications background.
*UK MOD/Government networks experience.
