Full job descriptionBehaviour Support Assistant - BoltonTradewind Recruitment is seeking a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a supportive primary school in the Bolton area. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils who require additional guidance to manage their behaviour, develop positive relationships and engage successfully in learning.
Working closely with teachers, the SENDCO and pastoral staff, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning by providing consistent support, encouragement and positive behaviour strategies. Key responsibilities:*Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
*Implementing behaviour support plans and positive reinforcement strategies.
*Encouraging emotional regulation and resilience.
*Helping pupils access classroom learning successfully.
*Promoting positive behaviour and social skills.
*Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff.
*Recording progress and communicating effectively with the wider team.
*Maintaining high safeguarding standards at all times.
We’re looking for someone who:*Has experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
*Remains calm, patient and professional in challenging situations.
*Builds positive and trusting relationships.
*Has excellent communication skills.
*Is flexible, reliable and committed to improving outcomes for children.
*Holds an enhanced DBS or is willing to obtain one.
