Full job descriptionEYFS Teaching Assistant - BuryTradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Bury area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children at the very beginning of their educational journey, helping them to develop the confidence, skills and independence they need to thrive.
Working alongside an experienced class teacher, you will support learning through play, encourage positive relationships and help create a stimulating environment where every child can flourish. The school is looking for someone who is patient, caring and passionate about early years education.
Your responsibilities will include:*Supporting teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom.
*Working with individuals and small groups during adult-led activities.
*Encouraging children’s communication, language and social development.
*Assisting with phonics, early maths and creative activities.
*Helping to prepare engaging learning resources.
*Supporting children’s personal care where required.
*Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
*Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:*Previous experience working with young children in an EYFS, nursery or primary school setting.
*A caring and patient approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Knowledge of the EYFS Framework is desirable.
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
