If you are passionate about nurturing teams, driving operational excellence, and making a meaningful impact within a supportive environment, this role will provide the platform for you to thrive.

As Operations Director, you will be entrusted with overseeing the entire operational framework of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing strategic plans that ensure seamless operations across all departments. You will work closely with department heads to foster a collaborative atmosphere where knowledge sharing is encouraged. Your role will also include mentoring managers, supporting their professional development through tailored training programmes. Compliance will be at the forefront of your agenda as you review procedures regularly to meet industry standards. Building relationships with stakeholders is essential; you’ll facilitate open dialogue to ensure everyone’s needs are met. You’ll champion initiatives that promote inclusivity and flexible working arrangements while managing budgets prudently. Embracing new technologies will be part of your remit as you guide teams through change with empathy and support.

* Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organisation’s vision, ensuring all processes support long-term goals.
* Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility among teams.
* Monitor performance metrics and analyse data to identify areas for improvement, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Lead cross-functional projects focused on process optimisation, resource allocation, and cost management while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Support departmental managers by providing guidance, mentorship, and training opportunities to nurture talent and encourage professional growth.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies by regularly reviewing procedures and implementing necessary changes.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to facilitate open communication and mutual understanding.
* Champion initiatives that promote inclusivity, employee wellbeing, and flexible working arrangements throughout the organisation.
* Manage budgets responsibly by tracking expenditures, forecasting needs, and identifying opportunities for savings without compromising service quality.
* Drive the adoption of new technologies or systems that enhance operational capabilities while supporting staff through transitions.

What you bring:

* Proven experience in senior operational Director roles within complex manufacturing organisations where collaboration was key to success.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships across all levels of the business.
* Strong analytical abilities allowing you to interpret data effectively for decision-making purposes.
* Demonstrated commitment to nurturing talent through coaching, mentoring, or structured training programmes.
* Comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements relevant to operations in regulated industries.
* Ability to manage budgets responsibly while identifying opportunities for cost optimisation without sacrificing quality.
* Experience leading cross-functional projects focused on process improvement or organisational change.
* Excellent communication skills enabling you to convey ideas clearly and foster mutual understanding among stakeholders.
* Track record of promoting inclusive practices that support employee well being and flexible working arrangements.
* Comfortable adopting new technologies or systems that enhance operational capabilities while supporting teams through transitions.
