Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - South BirminghamTradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South Birmingham on a long-term basis.
This rewarding role involves supporting a small group of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their individual targets in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:*Working closely with a group of SEN pupils within the classroom
*Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties
*Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities where required
*Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
*Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Ideal Candidate:*Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or SEN setting
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*A passion for supporting children with additional needs
*Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
