Full job descriptionStudent Welfare Officer - Hammersmith & FulhamAre you passionate about supporting young people and helping students achieve their full potential? We are currently recruiting for a Student Welfare Officer to join a successful secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, with a September start.
The school is a welcoming and inclusive secondary school located in Hammersmith and Fulham, committed to creating a positive environment where students feel supported, valued and encouraged to succeed. The school places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, safeguarding and providing effective pastoral support.
As a Student Welfare Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students with their welfare needs, working closely with staff, families and external agencies to ensure students receive the right support.
Please note: A valid First Aid qualification is compulsory for this role. Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of their certification before starting.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting students with welfare and pastoral needs
*Providing first aid support when required
*Monitoring student attendance, wellbeing and engagement
*Building positive relationships with students, parents and staff
*Supporting safeguarding procedures and recording concerns appropriately
*Working alongside pastoral teams to provide early intervention
*Assisting students who may need additional guidance or support
