Full job descriptionBerry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a Reliable and Skilled Temporary Cook to work for a company in Thame from the beginning of August on an ongoing basis.
Role: Temporary Cook
Salary: £14-£17 per hour (dependent on experience)
Location: Thame
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm, 4-5 days per week
Key Responsibilities of the Temporary Cook
*Prepare, cook, and present breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes to a high standard.
*Handle orders efficiently during busy service times.
*Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety practices at all times.
*Support menu planning and daily food preparation.
*Ensure kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and organised.
*Work effectively as part of a team, assisting colleagues as needed.
*Manage stock rotation and report shortages

*All-day breakfasts
*Breakfast rolls
*Homemade soups
*Steaks
*Sandwiches
*Eggs Benedict
*Daily specials and other café favourites
About you:
*Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
*Level 3 Food Hygiene / Food Safety Certificate (essential).
*Proven experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen, ideally in a café or daytime service environment.
*Ability to work independently and handle busy service periods.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Reliability and a positive, proactive attitude.
