Full job descriptionJunior Sheet Metal Fabricators
Hours: Mon-Wed 07:00-17:30 & Thurs 07:00-16:30 (full-time hours over 4 days) - every Friday off
We’re recruiting reliable, Junior Sheet Metal Fabricators to join this large experienced production team on a permanent basis. You’ll operate fabrication machinery and produce high precision sheet metal components and subassemblies, working from engineering drawings and to a defined schedule.
Duties include:*Setting up and operating fabrication machines including guillotines, bandsaws and presses
*Producing and assembling detailed parts for assemblies/welded assemblies
*Laying out, measuring and marking materials from drawings/templates using hand tools and calculators
*Using engineering measuring equipment to confirm dimensions meet drawing requirements
*Reading and following engineering drawings/lofts, procedures and work instructions
*Attending and participating in daily stand-up meetings
*Working to all health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements
*Supporting workplace organisation/continuous improvement
*Maintaining a tidy, safe working environment
*Completing other duties within your capabilities as required
Essential experience:*Experience operating fabrication machinery (e.g. guillotine/bandsaw/press)
*Able to work in a team to deliver parts on time
*Strong attention to detail, reliability and a quality-focused approach
