Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-established manufacturing and e-commerce business to find a Demand Planner to join their growing Ecommerce function. This is a great opportunity for an analytical planning professional to take ownership of demand forecasting and inventory optimisation for a fast-moving, highly seasonal product range.
Working closely with Commercial, Channel Management, Production Planning and Warehouse teams, you’ll lead the demand planning process end to end — from forecast creation through to converting demand into supply requirements — while playing a key role in the monthly S&OP cycle.
Key Responsibilities
*Develop and maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts, analysing sales history, promotions, market trends and customer forecasts
*Monitor and improve forecast accuracy and bias, flagging demand risks and opportunities
*Translate demand forecasts into purchasing requirements, managing safety stock, lead times and reorder points
*Support new product launches, seasonal transitions and promotional events
*Monitor stock health, inventory turns and stock cover, reducing excess and obsolete inventory
*Support the weekly and monthly S&OP cycle, presenting planning assumptions, risks and recommendations
*Partner with Channel Managers on retailer demand plans, using EPOS and sell-through data where available
*Produce KPI reporting covering forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, stock cover and fill rate
What You’ll Need
Essential:
*Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Inventory Planning
*Background within FMCG, retail or consumer goods
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
*Experience using D365 or a similar ERP system
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
