Full job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Accountant to lead the development, optimisation, and governance of a finance systems environment centred around NetSuite Financials and associated reporting tools.

Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will:
*Lead the day-to-day administration, development, and optimisation of NetSuite Financials.
*Act as the organisation’s finance systems subject matter expert.
*Drive finance systems improvements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
*Lead systems projects from concept through to successful implementation.
*Develop and maintain financial reporting, dashboards, and management information.
*Ensure robust governance, financial controls, and data integrity across finance systems.
*Monitor integrations and troubleshoot system issues.
*Deliver training, guidance, and support to users across the organisation.
*Supervise and develop a junior member of the finance team.
*Collaborate with Finance, IT, operational teams, and external software providers to deliver continuous improvement.


Profile
*Significant experience in a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems role.
*Strong expertise in NetSuite or another ERP finance system.
*Proven experience delivering finance systems enhancements and transformation projects.
*Strong understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, and financial controls.
*Experience improving processes, reporting, and system functionality.
*Ideally experience within the charity, public sector, housing, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
*The confidence to influence and engage with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
*A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
*Strong project management and organisational skills.
*A collaborative leadership style with experience supporting and developing others.


Job Offer
*Salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.
*Pension scheme included.
*12 month Fixed-term contract opportunity in Birmingham.
