Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong academic background and a passion for supporting pupils to achieve their full potential?
A fantastic school in Southwark is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Core Subject Teaching Assistant to join its welcoming and supportive team. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a school setting, strong knowledge of core subjects, and a genuine commitment to helping students thrive. A degree is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:*Supporting students across core subjects, including English, Maths and Science
*Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group academic support
*Working closely with teachers to help students overcome learning barriers
*Assisting with classroom activities and contributing to a positive learning environment
*Encouraging students’ confidence, engagement and academic progress
*Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
*Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:*Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education role
*Strong subject knowledge, particularly across core subjects
*A degree is preferred
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A positive, proactive and supportive approach
*A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed
